77mm Gold Diffusion 1/4 Filter Mist Soft Glow Warm Highlights Vintage Cinematic Aesthetic Camera Lens Filter Nano-Xcel Series
SKU: KF01.3222V2
I received the K&F CONCEPT Gold Diffusion Filter as a test product through the Vine program and use it with various lenses, but primarily with the Sigma 24-70 Art.
I attach it when I need the digital image from the lens to be a bit softer and less contrasty. This diffusion filter is perfect for that. At 1/4, it's relatively strong (1/8 would have been preferable), but when the filter is on the lens, a cinematic quality immediately emerges.
The image becomes softer, less contrasty, and takes on a yellowish-golden sheen. However, the color temperature isn't significantly altered; it remains true to color. It's truly beautiful, as you can see in the image. A subtle halo of light appears around the edges, giving it a silky-smooth, dreamy look.
The build quality is excellent. Everything is made of metal, and the threads fit smoothly into the lens mount, even if the lens itself is plastic. It's also very thin, and even with wide-angle lenses like my 16-35mm, there's no vignetting. The glass itself is hardened, and you can clearly see the applied gold pattern.
You can screw on additional filters, such as an ND filter, to this K&F filter, making it a great all-around choice if you want this look. It also protects the lens glass.
I'm very happy with the K&F CONCEPT Gold Diffusion Filter and like to use it for shots that aren't meant to be so digital and high-contrast. Aside from a more subtle 1/8" version, I have no other wishes. Highly recommended.

A filter with a very specific use, ideal for daytime or sunset shots.
What I love about this Gold Mist version is that it creates a warm, misty atmosphere. I use regular Black Mist to soften lights and add a touch of mystery to many urban photos, and the diffusion is neutral depending on the light. With this Gold version, it gives you a "warm" mist. If you shoot video in full sunlight, you get that cinematic aura and warm feeling.
The filter quality is very good, as is typical of K&F. It has a practical, rounded case where the filter is placed, and it doesn't move thanks to the rubber grooves. It screws on very well and performs well.

This is a beautifully made filter that fits perfectly on my 100L Macro lens. The build quality of this is impressive. It looks and feels super solid and the body is made of metal.
Its purpose is to add a slight golden glow to your images, similar to what it would be like during golden hour. It does this by having thousands of tiny gold flecks embedded into the glass. As a result, you lose a tiny bit of sharpness as the light reflects on its way to the sensor.
The carrying case/shell for it is pretty neat too. It's designed to hold multiple different sized filters by having a bunch of different ridges, progressing outwards. It's kind of a cool idea.
If you are still into pre-processing image manipulation, this is a great filter to keep in your toolkit.

The K&F CONCEPT Nano-Xcel 82mm Gold-Mist Filter is an amazing filter that transforms black mist into gold mist!
The effect is noticeable yet controlled: point lights transform into a soft golden halo, very pleasing at night, in backlit situations, or under artificial lighting. The result is a warm, almost "vintage" feel, reminiscent of certain film stocks. It slightly reduces contrast and softens highlights, without muddying the image.
It works well for portraits: skin appears more even, imperfections are attenuated, but the subject remains defined. It's not a heavy or fake effect, but rather an elegant glow that adds atmosphere.
The build quality is solid: Japanese AGC glass with good light transmission, no noticeable color cast, and 28 layers of nano-coating that helps protect against reflections, water, and micro-scratches. The thread is precise and easy to mount.
Conclusion: A very interesting filter, worth trying if you want a sophisticated yet natural, warm, and evocative effect. The build quality is always top-notch!
It passes the tests with 5 stars!

The filter comes nicely packaged in the X-Series box, along with a free cleaning cloth. It's thin, lightweight, and you can screw another filter (like an ND filter) onto the front, although I recommend doing it the other way around to accentuate the flares from direct light. Regarding the loss of sharpness, it's slightly noticeable. It also depends on how sharp or soft the lens you're using it with; the effect is more or less pronounced, and in the best cases, it's barely perceptible. In video, it gives a creative look that's especially appreciated on sunny days. In my opinion, it simulates lowering the clarity and skin texture settings in editing software. Highly recommended.

The "Gold Diffusion" filter comes compactly packaged in a sturdy plastic case. As I've come to expect from K&F C., the workmanship is high-quality. It screws in smoothly, is quite compact, and the knurled surface provides a good grip.
The coating lives up to its name (see pictures). However, as expected, the effect only occurs with a lot of reflected light, most noticeably with hard light sources (even directly in the field of view) that cause the corresponding diffusion. Used intentionally, it can definitely create a rather attractive effect directly from the sensor – ideal for photography purists for whom digital filters are taboo (...), especially since they can quickly become "too much." It's also very helpful for publishing large amounts of data (whether video or photos) without a lot of post-processing.

This K&F Concept 82mm Gold Diffusion lens filter is fabulous quality, just as all glass I have ever had from K&F Concept is.
I am a hobbyist photographer and only occasionally dabble in a little video and prior to being given the opportunity to try this filter, have only experimented with electronic film LUTs in post.
Having given this a try, the results are certainly excellent and quite probably better than using post processing filters as I have in the past, however I do feel that to my untrained eye, any discernible difference unfortunately does not warrant the cost of the filter, particularly as if I want to use different lenses, I need a different step up ring for each one (I decided to go that route rather than buying multiple filters to fit each lens).
The other issue is of course that if you film with the filter on, the effect is baked into the footage, so if you want to repurpose your footage or decide you don't want the gold diffused effect, then you're stuck.
However, if you know for certain that that's the look you're after, want the look done very, very well and aren't planning to swap lenses all the time, then for sure, you will not be disappointed with these K&F Concept filters. In my opinion, they are as good as you get.

I’m absolutely delighted with this lens filter. The size is correct and fits perfectly, and the effect it gives to photos is beautiful. It adds a lovely warm, slightly retro look that feels very natural and artistic, without being overdone. It’s exactly the kind of result I was hoping for.
The quality is outstanding – the filter feels solid, well made, and clearly premium. You can really tell this is a high-quality product. I was also very impressed with the packaging. It comes in a beautiful, sturdy box that’s extremely handy for storage and travel, keeping the filter safe and secure when it’s not in use.
While it is on the pricier side, I genuinely feel it’s worth the price considering the build quality, the results, and the overall presentation. I’m very happy with this purchase and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking to add a subtle, cinematic feel to their photos.

I ordered this filter for a video project. It arrived very well packaged in an additional, very sturdy cardboard box from K&F Konzept. The filter itself is also packaged in a small plastic case, making it easy to transport.
The filter itself appears to be of very high quality and well-made. It has no scratches whatsoever and a uniform layer of nanoparticles on the lens, which creates this diffusion effect.
At 1/4 dimming, it's quite strong and, in my opinion, makes the most sense in fairly neutral light. Colored light is not recommended.

The K&F CONCEPT Gold Diffusion 1/4 is clearly not a neutral, all-around filter, but rather a deliberate creative tool. When used correctly, it lends images and videos a warm, cinematic look with soft highlights and slightly reduced contrast. Especially in backlit situations, portraits, or scenes during the golden hour, it creates a pleasing, organic glow without any noticeable loss of image sharpness.
Compared to classic black mist filters, the effect is warmer and more emotional. Highlights acquire a golden halo, skin tones appear softer, and digital harshness is pleasantly softened. The effect is well-balanced – clearly visible, but not overdone, as long as it's used judiciously.
The build quality is excellent: The glass makes a very good impression, the 28-layer nano-coating reliably reduces reflections, is water-repellent, and easy to clean. The metal frame is cleanly manufactured, screws on easily, and sits securely on the lens.
What I find particularly cool is that the desired look is created directly in the shot. This saves time in post-processing and ensures consistent results, especially for video recordings.
In conclusion: A specialized, yet highly effective filter for photographers and filmmakers who want to consciously work with mood and light. Not an "all-purpose" filter, but a powerful creative tool with high-quality construction and a distinctive look. Recommended for portraits, available light photography, and cinematic scenes.
