Substantial, well designed and sturdy tripod with the ability to adapt to a mono pod for all types of cameras including cell phones. (Instructions included tho were for an older model). I checked Amazon at the spot where I purchased this & found complete information and a video for operation. With all my questions answered, I’m on my way to begin my photographic study of all the nifty historical buildings, foothills and wildlife near my new home in the Sierras.

I must admit, this tripod exceeded my expectations. I chose it for its versatility, with several knobs for adjusting it in overhead mode and for positioning it in ways that are usually quite awkward when holding the camera handheld, which inevitably results in movement. But this tripod, in addition to its various positions, also offers remarkable fluidity for a tripod primarily designed for photography, closely resembling the fluidity of a video tripod (IT IS NOT A VIDEO TRIPOD). The size is perfect; it's a bit heavier than I anticipated, but I appreciate that, as it ensures it won't be blown away by any gust of wind.
It also comes in a carrying bag with a strap, which I'm happy about because it means it won't be lying around waiting for me, getting scratched by other things. It's everything I needed, and I'm definitely satisfied!

I use this tripod constantly for both of my YouTube channels, and it has quickly become one of my most trusted pieces of gear. Just the other night I needed to set up on top of a stadium, and thanks to its extra height and ability to pivot at the top, I was able to position my camera above a stadium light that would have completely ruined my shot with any other tripod. The stability at full extension is impressive, and it handled the challenge without a problem.
The horizontal/overhead arm is incredibly versatile for overhead shots and unique angles, while the detachable monopod adds even more flexibility. Build quality is excellent — solid aluminum, smooth ball head, and strong locks that inspire confidence when supporting heavier cameras. I purchased a tripod for video productions and we are using it with Teleprompter and other heavy equipment and it works like a charm very robust easy to set up and very versatile strongly. Recommend this product to anybody that is looking for perfect solution for cameras and other items.

I've not owned a high-end tripod before so not sure if I'm qualified to compare it to the likes of manf-reakishlyexpensive etc; but being a gear nerd is several other domains I gotta say this thing sure feels like you're getting a lot for the money. All the axis run smooth and aside from a little chatter while telescoping the linear section that mounts to the head, using it has been a really nice experience overall.

Sturdy tripod offers a variety of use cases. The center column is strong and easily raises. Once it rotates to the perpendicular orientation it easily locks into place with minimal slipping. The locking knob secures it in a variety of positions for overhead shooting without worrying about the support legs appearing in the frame. One leg attachment comes off to create a monopod. The build quality is strong and easy to clean. This tripod is a great addition to my kit and I bought a second one that I can use for another camera or lights.
