This is a very well built filter for the video or photo cameras. It produces a soft and mist look, simulate the looks in film cinematic style. It works very well, and feels very high quality. I use this one whenever I am filming some video work for projects. Adds a lot of values to the video production.

This is the first time I have seen this type of filter. I was not sure what to expect, because normally I would be pursuing the sharpest image possible and didn't know if I'd like the softness here. But actually it is not so much as a blur as it is a softness or a soft focus without losing definition. I have shot with a black pro-mist filter and I would say it is the same in effect although the opposite in brightening the light points instead of darkening them. It is subtle but it definitely adds that dreamy effect. Especially of people and of night lights.

I really like K&F filters and this one threaded on and off nicely without binding. I did not notice any color shift or chromatic aberration. The case that K&F has been using lately for filters is also really nice. It would be nice to buy a few of these for my other filters, just to unify them in storage.

This thing is amazing. It softens up the light just enough to give a cinematic vibe to the pictures. I got the 82mm filter and I have no issues threating it to my Tamron 24-70 f/2.8. It comes off easily by hand no need for any filter wrenches. The protective case for it is great. It does not interfere with the use of the lens hood. I have used several K&F filters in the past and have a black mist 1/4 for my 50mm f/1.4 and love it just as much, which is the reason I had actually ordered this filter. For the money you spend on this product you won't be disappointed with the results. There are more expensive products on the market that would only be marginally better than this one. This is a great all-around filter for the price point and could appeal to the beginner to the semi-pro photographer. I love using this filter especially at night on street photography is my favorite use for it.

Great for portrait photography- although I'm not much of a portrait guy- this would also work well for landscapes and cityscapes. 77 mm fits perfectly on my Sony 24-105 G OSS with no issues, as expected from K & F. I have several K & F filters, and they're all top notch. I also love the fact that the case is round- and not square - which helps to identify this against the rest of my filters. It is a bit on the pricy side, listed at just under $100- but quality isn't cheap. So if you're looking for an easy way to add a touch of haze to your images SOC, this is a great option.

I paired this with my Viltrox 75mm f1.4 lens mostly for portraits. It adds what I would would describe as a "scrim like" effect, more so than a black mist filter alone. It also is good for street life at night shots where there are street lights and neon signs, it creates a "glow" effect that you might previously have added in post. Depending on what your work flow is, you might see the benefit from such a filter. This is K&F quality all the way and they have become my first choice in filters as they produce high quality filters at several price points that compete with higher priced brands. If you are looking for some creativity in your photography/videography this is a filter to consider.

The construction is top notch, with smooth filter threads, and I had no issues screwing this on or taking it off of my Sony lens. When you look at the glass, it is a different type of look that you can see through this filter. I don't even know how to describe it, but it's very different than any other filter I have used in the past, and I like it. If you are shooting portraits, this is a definite must try.
