The minute you clamp this onto a surface you have several 1/4" holes you can use to attached a variety of things, but the actually ball head itself (with a standard 1/4 20 screw) can be reversed to give a coldshoe mount instead.That really makes this really versatile, the screw head alone is useful as it's a common mount, but cold shoe is probably just as common so you have everything covered.I've not used this 'in the field' yet, but I messed around by clamping it to tables, desks, and my tripod legs and it just works brilliantly. The build quality is top notch, this is the sort of thing you have forever once you have it.I have several different clamps now and they are so useful to have because they give so much extra flexibility. I was going to mount this to my universal camera cage, but it's probably overkill for that. Instead I'm likely to use this for holding Aputure mini LED light as this will enable me to position them pretty much anywhere.

I'm really happy with the quality of this. Everything seems to be completely metal. I haven't experienced the breakage problems as the other reviews have said though it seems that you could replace the screw and not with a store-bought one so it wouldn't be hard to find a replacement if needed Overall I think this is definitely worth the price. It was able to hold a couple pounds in place with no problem and at full tightness . It didn't move much at all.

I love the articulation and strength of the wireframe ball style lock.
The clamps themselves are strong and clamp down hard, allowing me to mount almost anything.
I usually use it with only one clamp attached to clamp a small LED light anywhere I want when shooting and it is always useful to have this around.
The locking pins are very handy on one end to avoid rotation on my monitor when i'm using this on my camera rig, a well thought addition that makes quality of life a lot better.
Overall really good kit.

Everything about this clamp screams high quality. It's a perfect design and implementation without any unnecessary extras, e.g. fancy packaging.The clamp jaws open and close smoothly via an easy to use thumb screw - the jaws are threaded on both sides so turning the screw rapidly opens and closes the jaws making it quick to attach/detach the clamp. The jaws have small rough rubber pads on them to ensure a solid grip.At the other end you have a standard cold shoe fitted into a ball head. A single thumb screw allows rotation of the entire ball head assembly and rotation/tilt of the ball head within the socket so it's very quick to set the camera into position.It's professional level equipment that just works. Highly recommended.

This is a multi functional double head universal clamp to hold cameras and wrap around bars to use for taking photos with camera. This is more flexible than a tripod that needs alot of space to mount. Clamp is portable and easy to carry and adjust to ensure it can be used at any angle. The clamps are detachable and have non slip silicone. Clamp can hold 1.5kg of equipment.
