The K&F Concept 2600mAh EN-EL15C Battery, charged via a USB-C cable and compatible with the Nikon Z8, Z7, Z6, Z7ii, Z6ii, Z5, D850, D810, D810A, D780, D750, D610, D500, D7500, D7200 cameras, is an inexpensive and quality alternative to the more expensive Nikon batteries. Perhaps the biggest “selling” point of this battery is the fact that it can be charge via the included USB-C cable, meaning you can charge this battery via a charger, a computer or laptop, or even a car with a USB-C charging port. The battery has more capacity than the Nikon EN-El 15C battery (7.2V and 2600mAh, vs 7V, 2280mAh) so it should last longer for photos and video. It has various protections, including temperature, over-voltage, over-discharge, over-current, over-charger and short-circuit protection. Finally, it’s fully decoded for a number of Nikon DSLR and mirrorless cameras but not the Nikon Z f or Nikon Z6 III. Whenever you buy third party batteries, you should also keep in mind that Nikon, or any camera company, can always release new firmware for their cameras that might affect the compatibility with third-party batteries. But they remain a good value when compared to the original battery.

I use battery grips on all these cameras and it works great in all these grips. The battery life so far is on par with OEM, we will have to see if they hold up over time. I’ll let you know if there is a problem. It’s a good value although not far off the OEM price in most places. I do like the added direct charge feature, just being able to plug a cable directly in is helpful. It is easy to just use a charger as well. The unit itself feels durable and well put togeather. So far I have used it without issue and I am grateful to have it.

A very good battery that's also recognized by the Z6III. It's advantageous that you don't always have to carry a charging cradle with you; you can plug the USB-C charging cable directly into the battery.
