One thing recommended to me a long time ago was to use good but inexpensive UV filters as lens protectors. Pretty much get one and then just leave it on until it gets trashed.That's my goal with this one for my Canon 80D lens. I'm also a bit worried about scratching my optics since I'm a bit rough with, well, everything I own. This will give me a little piece of mind that I won't wreck something just leaving it sitting on a work bench.I don't tend to use filters enough to mess with the magnetic feature much, but having that option available may change that. I just don't see where I'd need to swap filters quickly for things like astrophotography. :)Came well packages and sealed, and arrived undamaged. Doesn't seem to cause any issues with my images which is also a concern with aftermarket filters. The 80D already has a built-in UV filter in the sensor assembly, so there's no added benefit in my case.So, decent filter that doesn't hinder photos from what I can tell.

The protective filter fits the camera lens very well. It can also be attached very quickly using magnets. The filter does not affect the image quality.

K&F Concepts have been my go-to for lens filters lately. I find that they have a good balance between quality and price. This one is no different. I really like the idea of a magnetic filter system, but haven't invested in one yet. These UV filters would be a great start. To be clear, these filters need to screw onto a lens and then any additional filters can utilize the magnetized metal of the filter to be stacked. I mis-read this at first, but it makes sense. Most systems require a magnetized ring of some sort to get started and this has the benefits of UV filtration. It's a great option if that's what you are looking for.

This is the UV filter that serve as the base of the magnetic system. Once this is install, other magnetic filters can be attached on top of it. Not need to screw on and off, just snap on, and take it off. 1 second filter change. Makes the work flow so much easier, especially when in a busy shooting environment. The UV filter is very secure, and very very thin. Thin is good, but also makes it difficult to keep some of the lens cap on. It's not a big deal, but good to keep in mind.

This is a very inexpensive UV lens filter which is already a good win. You are getting a filter that also has magnets so you can add additional filters on top which is another win. I put this on my 20mm lens and it fit perfectly was very easy to twist on and twist off. came with a cleaning cloth which was nice. The magnets also work pretty well with their other magnetic filter (i tried a ND which worked flawlessly. Clarity wise i did not notice a loss of clarity at first glance although once in lightroom i did notice just a touch of loss and colors not being the same with it off.
