The gimbal was very simple to use just attach to tripod with screw supplied. I use this for wildlife photography and 600mm lens. Great to have option of swiveling left/right or up/down specially with birds in flight. It's heavy but very sturdy

As per usual a great bit of kit from K&F as usual. Little heavy but it won't break

Excellent quality, but as a gimbal, it must also be excellent (I do not have any experience) . Thank you one more time.

I'm quite impressed with the build quality. Works perfectly with my D7200 w/grip and extra battery and a 70-200 f/2.8 VR lens .... a pretty heavy combination.

Just love how compatible it is to my Manfrotto tripod. It is very solid and carries my 150-600mm lense very well. When looking at other more expensive units, then this is a great and affordable alternative.

I've gone out shooting birds with it a few times now, and I must say it's better than I expected when I ordered it.

It's smooth and easy to adjust the balance of your lens on it, and there's a fair bit of leeway when balancing(will hold it's position very well, just got to not fully loosen the knobs). And I was worried my telephoto lens would be awkward, but it doesn't seem to need rebalancing unless you go all the way in to out(or the like).

For video... Eh, I might just have not gotten the hang of it yet. I think you could get decent videos in a pinch, but might want to look at a pan/tilt head specifically for that. But if you're mainly doing stills, I think it's good enough for important moments(much better than a ball head at any rate).

It is big, but it kind of has to be, and it's sturdy which also means it's rather heavy(but not ridiculously so). The worst thing is it being a bit awkward to attach to a bag(keeps bonking me on the head lol), so you might want to keep that in mind. Could always remove the head, but if you're shooting on the fly, that's kind of not an option. Probably depends on your bag, though; I have quite a small day pack I use for hiking around and it's not so bad - just have to be aware of it sticking out.

Would definitely recommend it

I was pleasantly surprised to see how good this is for the price! Recommend. Movements are not extremely smooth but it's good enough. I'll Field test this soon in extreme weather conditions.
