The side pocket makes it easy to take out the camera without opening the entire backpack.

Slightly smaller than I thought, but very happy with it because it was a gift and has not been used yet

... but certainly suitable for small photo sets and small photo tours. Seems robust and stable and offers space for camera with lens, 2 extra lenses, small items, etc.
