105mm Variable ND2-32 (1-5 Stop) Lens Filter Neutral Density Filter Waterproof Scratch Resistant with 28 Layers of Nano-coating Nano-Xcel Series
SKU: KF01.2323V1
Product: 58mm Variable ND2-ND32
Description: The rim of the filter is made out of what I'd assume is aluminum, coated matte black, (which has a nice weight to it, and has hard stops at ND2 & ND32). The rim itself is actually fairly nice. It's easy to put on, and easy to take off due to the wide ridged design around the base of the filter. The high index optical glass is indeed nano coated to protect against water/oils from fingerprints, rain, & etc. Which are easily removed without struggle in my testing with a clean micro fiber cloth (not included). The glass itself has a slight yellow tint to it (which you can see from the photo comparison), which can also easily be corrected through your cameras auto white balance, or lightroom. The filter also doesn't loose to much detail if adjusted properly which is nice as you will see from the photos, and their description in the next section.
Photos: The first four photos of the product were taken without any filters. Though the next two of the black & red mouse pad were to show detail comparisons. These two photos were taken about 1-2ft away, but are cropped to show detail. Which were slighty adjusted to be as equal as possible.
Without the filter: F4.0 1/15s. ISO 400
ND32: F4.0 1s ISO 400
The next 6 photos of the flowers next to the bird bath were taken without adjusting any settings to show the darkness of the filter (F5.6 1/320s ISO 100), in this order: No Filter, ND2 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, & ND32 5th stop.
Overall: The produce works well, and is well made! I would highly recommend picking one of these up, along with a circular polarizer. Though only notable things I found with the product is that it has a slight yellow tint of the filter, the front thread size of the filter in bigger then 58mm, and the top of the filter very slightly wiggles. Otherwise it gets a solid A from me!
Extra: I used a 49mm-58mm step up ring for the filter to fit my Canon 50mm F/1.8
Camera/Settings: Shot on a Canon Rebel SL3, with custom white balance settings set to +/-0,+/-0 for raw color quality.

Bought and used on my trip to Hawaii. Good quality, no issues, super clear photos using it on my tripod.

Just getting back into photography mode. So new DSLR camera set-up. Never used ND filters before. Wanted to try them out. This filter does what it intended to do. Being new to ND filters, didn't know what to expect. It is nice build Quality, I did not get quite the effect I was looking for but that was not the filters fault. This is a 2f stop to 5f stop filter. So I bought an other K&F filter that is not a fader ND filter but is a 10f stop filter. the second photo is with just the 10 stop filter. once my adapter gets here (filters are of different sizes, 52MM & 55MM) I will even be able to stack the two together, for up to 15f stops slower. Over all very happy with the K&F filters.

This was a life saver when my HSS died, and had to use a regular speed strobe... I don't see any of the vignetting that others see... If you see it, just turn a little till you don't.

I bought this filter for my Sony nx80, and it fits perfectly. This is a great option for outdoor shooting either for photo or video. You can easily just twist the filter to change the amount of light going into the lens. great product that makes a difference when shooting on a sunny day. But I did notice that when I zoom in, it struggles focusing the object. It's something that I need to figure out. Other than that I would defenetly buy it again.

I have never tried a ND variable filter before, but I'm glad I gave this a shot. I'll be mainly using it for outdoor video. I didn't have to bump up my shutter speed when putting this thing on. Photo example is 1 frame from a video I shot in my backyard with and without the filter at it's maximum with same camera settings. 1080p @60FPS @125 shutter speed.

I bought this adjustable ND filter to use on my Canon EF lenses during my trip to Iceland. It worked beautifully and allowed me to capture some beautiful landscapes!

At time of this review I have had the filter for roughly 4 days.
Easily my favorite attribute about this filter is the lack of 'X' problems with photos. With many variable neutral density filters you can spin the filter too far and create an 'X' unintentionally. K&F have solved this issue by only allowing the filter to twist to a certain spot so the use will not accidentally ruin any photos. The filter feels very rugged and sturdy. The portion of the filter that does not spin has grooves on it to easily hold on and twist the outer ring. Great product so far.

I love this filter great for Photo & video.
But at 10mm on my 80D Crop sensor it casts a shadow above.
if I zoom in a bit like 14mm it goes away.
NO X, No Color cast. Great Filter... As Advertised. and Great Build...

I used this to take photos of the moon through a very mild cloud covering using my Kowa TSN-99 spotting scope with an IPhone 15 Pro Max mounted onto the scope. I have attached "with" and "without" photographs to this review. The "without" photograph shows ghosting and is blurry, whereas the with photograph is pretty much perfect.
