I have kirk head but was looking for lighter one for travel, this one is Smooth operation and nice head. Recommended for the price. Will do the job well.

Small, sturdy and easy to handle. The low profile in particular makes the head stable. As a result, the pack size is of course also low. Recommended

I've used several 'high end' ballheads in the past and this is as good as any of them. Compact size and lightweight, well manufactured, smooth movements but very solid once tightened down. Quick release mechanism is also smooth and solid and the included Arca Swiss compatible plate is excellent quality. Can hold a heavy 1DX body and lens no problem, although I haven't tried it with any large telephoto lenses. For most people's use cases, all-in-all, it's an absolute bargain.
