At the price point (relative to other filters of the same function) you may expect a less than competing performance but this holds its own! Definitely worth the investment.
Look, it’s not a Tiffen Pro Mist but if you’re looking at this I’m imagining that you don’t need a Tiffen filter. This will do the job and do it well!

I give the filter a 5 out of 5, however...
Last Year:
I ordered the 1/8 last year thinking it was 1/8 for my 50mm lens. The texture was very sandy on the lens so you can see the black diffusion particles. I thought the diffusion was strong and not subtle for a 1/8 filter. I didn't think much of it thinking it's supposed to be like that.
This Year:
I then ordered the 1/8 again for a different 50mm lens. The filter arrived and I can't see the sandy texture. I tested it with the filter from last year. It looks like the 1/8 filter they sent me last year marked as 1/8 is actually about a 1/2. The one I ordered this year is a true 1/8 filter because it has significantly less highlight bloom.
Summary:
It works out for me cause now I have a 1/2 and a 1/8. But for those that need it for specific jobs, especially video work, I would double check your diffusion bloom.

The filter quality and durability have really worked for me. I purchased this because it was an affordable price and it workd well with my nano-coated lenses!

Added a nice little effect without being too obvious. Softened the overly sharp effect of modern recording devices. I recommend it.

I really like the vintage look that this filter gives to the videos, despite not being the most professional one I've tried, the result is quite accurate and it does its job perfectly. I love this brand and I will continue to use it.

1/4 is not that strong during the day, mist only shows if there is a direct light source

Easy to use, easy to install, compatible with lens cap and lens hood, Mist filters are used to add a more cinematic feel to you photos or videos. Diffusion filters a a mist like "dreamy" halo around your lights or objects. I definitely recommend adding this filter to your collection!
