Great radio.I suggest upgrading the antenna and getting a certified chirp cable and not cheap one.

Baofeng makes great radios for the price. Tons of channel storage and if you get this or most any radio like it you would probably want to get the programming cable for it. This makes it a lot easier to use the radio.

This is well made! Solid, and has some weight to it. I was impressed. I guess I was surprised after some reviews I read. I am going to buy a 2nd one as a back up to keep in my wife's car.

The Baofeng radio is amazing. So many frequency options are available.Programming is difficult using the keypad, but mostly due to my physical limitations touching the small buttons. The usb cable promises to be the easiest method of programming.

I purchased with the extended battery. I love the dual band. I’m able to hit repeaters 40 miles away in urban Los Angeles. Highly recommend if you’re interested in getting into two-way radios.
