I set up the camera behind my fence because its just woods. I bought this for my son (14) just to see what we could catch wondering around and that drives our dogs crazy. The instructions are easy and the camera is user friendly and I was able to set it up in 5 minutes. So far lots of squirrels and a few possums. I bought a salt block to put out there for the critters.

My hand can hide it completely in front of it. It’s a very small and compact unit that can easily be overlooked because of that. It’s capable of doing all the things bigger ones do with just minor changes. It’s mountable and can also be set up with power from a outlet or solar too. I’ll be using a sixty four gigabyte SD card. It takes four batteries of the double A type. It provides twelve megapixel single photographs and two megapixel video. I will only be taking pictures at it’s attended location. It can easily stay in position for quite a long time if needed and a check now and then to download pictures takes but a minute so maintenance can be done at the same time. Cold kills batteries quick and cheap ones even quicker so I always use the best because one lost picture could of been the blockbuster we were looking for. I always test before erecting and the pictures are good enough for identifying objects and animals and people. All in all a very capable trail camera. There is some conflicting megapixel information so I went with what the users manual said. No stars removed because of it. Four Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️!!!

The Vmotal Mini Trail Cam seems to be well designed and sensible in its functions. It is about half the size of my other trail cams. Settings are made on the outside of the camera except for the on/off switch.I set the camera up in my back yard for a couple of days and got four pictures. I have included two, one night shot of a buck and a day shot which missed the deer. I watched two separate deer move in front of the camera during the morning of this review. The camera did not catch either, even though they were moving slowly. I had the camera set on the default settings which in the case of my other cameras would have gotten the deer.Perhaps it is too slow or lacks the wider field. In any case, I will use the camera where deer will likely stay in front of it for an extended period of time and not be too far away. The quality of the photos is good and captured the night shot well. I am leery of the capture distance and the quickness of the shot.
