I got this camera for xmas. I use it mostly for road and mountain biking. So, the camera gets bounced around a little bit. So far, it has worked great. I'm using a 64Gb Samsung ultra micro sd card. No freezing and the videos have come out quite well. I do like the voice controls for the camera. Sometimes, it won't hear me if there is wind noise. I have not tried out the waterproof ability of the camera and I probably won't. However, the doors on the camera, to access the battery and cable connections, must be closed all the way. There is a rubber gasket on the inside of the doors. I've closed them to where they click, but noticed it was still open a tad. I pushed it the rest of the way and it would click again. I kinda wonder if people that have had water leakage just didn't close them all the way? Videos and pictures have turned out very well and my biking videos have good color, smooth and detailed. With the GPS enabled, you can add data overlay to videos (speed, altitude, compas, etc). You have to use GoPro software, downloaded from their site, to accomplish this. The software is free. The GoPro app works just fine. I've used it a few times and have not had any issues with connecting to the camera, seeing what the camera sees, downloading anything from camera or controlling the camera. I have not tried 4k videos. Being that I do action stuff biking, I'm not sure I will. 4k is at 30fps, but 1080p is at 120fps. If I did not receive this as a gift, I would probably never purchase this camera. I think it is a good camera, but a little overpriced. I would probably get the Yi 4K+. It does everything this camera can do and does 4k 60fps. It is quite a bit cheaper as well. I know the Hero 6 does 4k 60fps and some other features, but is even more expensive.

If you need a portable adventure camera the GoPro delivers. It captures good images and videos. Personally I don't like the fisheye view on the GoPro but I get it. It's to capture everything. The battery lasts a couple but it's a good idea to buy a spare for anything more.

GoPro has allways been. A. Outstanding action cam they have built a massive company out of something that was just a wrist strap for a camera... should you upgrade from the 4... well that's really your decision because this thing has a screen and it's fully waterproof so you don't have to be scared of your GoPro getting soaked out of its case also it has voice commands (big plus for me) I snowboard so I don't have to worrie about it getting wet. And I don't have to press the button all I have to do is tell the GoPro ("hey GoPro start recording"). Overall it's a great camera it's your decision if you want to upgrade;)

Great camera, bit the bullet and ended up returned it for the Hero 6 Black when amazon put it on sale.

I didn't get my camera from amazon but I do have this camera. I have used it in many situations on my dirt bike and it records great footage. I havent gotten the chance to use it in water but plan to eventually. Keep it up gopro

Love this camera. Use it way too much. Can't go wrong with a GoPro.
