Maybe there are quality control issues, but i don’t have the problems others claim with this variable ND. Slight ‘X’ at max effect in some conditions but I did not plan to use it at the extremes. A little color shift but that is to be expected. Maybe a slight softening but nothing that can’t be adjusted in post processing. I bought it primarily for video outdoors so any softness is ok.
Overall, I am pleased and recommend it. If you find a problem, just have it replaces. I suppose there could be some quality-control issues. Be aware that it can get stuck to a plastic adapter ring.
