It also has a great distance, I can see all the way to my mailbox which is a good 300 to 400 hundred feet down the driveway. It has good clear optics, you can use this day or night, it doesn't go into night mode until you turn on the IR illuminator, so you can use it like a digital camera or VCR or just for viewing in the day with digital zoom for close-ups. What actually sold me was the hard case and 3-inch screen. It seems that this one has better features than some of the more expensive ones. I am currently happy with this purchase.
