I am a big fan of the Lume Cube and Air VC, so I was glad to add this Panel Mini to my collection for toy photography. It has some really nice features, including a digital battery life display, which is not available on Lume Cube’s other lights I mentioned. It has a really nice range of brightness, from very dim to massively bright, and I love how you can shift from warm to cool light. The small, credit card-sized panel is super portable like their other lights and it comes with a useful white rubber diffuser. I also like that it can be attached to a tripod in two places, and it has its own little stand. It’s not as rough-and-tumble durable as the other lights but it would be top class for bringing to illuminate indoor photos and videos on the go - and outside if you’re careful. This has great range it brightness and tone and it’s a great deal for $60! I say give it a go. An excellent addition to my lighting arsenal.

I have tried running this through multiple scenarios trying to figure out where this light would fit into my kit and I just can’t find any situation where this amount of light would work besides emulating candlelight. Take a close look at some of the reviewer’s pictures. The output is just too weak for blogging when there is no other light source or using at all outside. I would need tow bring two of these to work anywhere and that defeats the purpose of one unit being so portable.
