Mistake
Not for me. It darkens the image on my camera.

The most fun you will have with a flash
No, this is not the most practical flash, but that's not why you get something like this. This flash is all about the experience. The wow factor is off the charts. It fully delivers that modernized retro feel. By that I mean that looks are all retro, but the hardware interface and physical build is modern. In terms of the hardware interface, that has been modernized to work with contemporary hotshoe systems (without frying the camera), but you still get the classic sync port, which many modern flashes omit. That means that this camera will work with any hotshoe (I can think of), but it also works with older cameras that only have a sync port. Additionally, if you're lucky enough to have a modern digital camera that also comes with a sync port, then that means you can use this as a one-light OCF, and you don't need a separate light or infrared trigger. As for the build, if you have ever handled photo equipment made in the 60s and 70s, you will notice heavy use of metals and hard plastics--the late 80s and into the 90s went to hard and brittle plastics (possibly the worst build quality decade). Modern equipment tends to be made of tough, but softer, and more durable plastics, which is what this flash does. The body of the unit also has a mix of textures, which makes it interesting to hold (whereas equipment in the 80s and 90s often had that uniform smooth hard plastic feel--pretty boring). So, in terms of looks and feel, this flash definitely has more of a 60s/70s aesthetic--well, except for the deployable reflector dish, and I don't know what eon that's from, but I'm getting 1920s vibes there. Also, for scale, see the attached photo of the flash mounted on my Sony a7R3.In terms of use cases, this flash would be perfect for the enthusiast hosting a small party amongst friends and wanting to post images and/or share prints with that classic retro consumer camera hard light flash look. Coupled with one of those zink or other instant photo printers, you can have a lot of fun with this at a party. I would share my own photos, but so far they are 95% confused dogs, and 5% annoyed spouse--but they do look great!Overall, I am very pleased with this flash, and I can't wait until I have a good event to use it at. I was able to request and get this flash for free from Amazon Vine, and I would have no problem spending my own money on this if I wanted to get another one either for myself or for a friend--great gift to your favorite photographer, by the way. I highly recommend.

Great value device for monitoring the kids
Our kids have separate rooms and we just wanted something to keep an eye on them during naps and overnight while they're in bed. This device perfectly fit the bill for what we needed. The camera and night vision are more than adequate for these purposes. It's obviously not HD and sometimes we wish the camera could zoom out and be more of a wide view, but these are relatively minor criticisms. The unit works well, both cameras connected immediately with zero issues. Other reviews mentioned annoying beeps and alerts - well, those can all be configured in the settings and turned off. Don't want a beep if something disconnects? Fine, turn off that alert.Other reviews mentioned bad battery life and I'm not sure where this is founded (unless older versions had some sort of issue?). All I know is our unit just went 2+ hours on battery life and the battery indicator was still full. This is more than enough time for us.Overall, for under $100 there's not much more you can ask this device to do. It's a great monitor, the talkback features work very well, and the parent device is mobile with the battery. Loving it.

Windows 7 - The best web cam I have ever used.
When I got the Webcam Pro 9000 I was expecting a useful cam to allow me to do video IM, take some videos, maybe edit and load to You-Tube. This camera can do all that and so much more! Setup is easy. Just run the enclosed CD and follow the directions. You will be able to preview how the camera works. Also, you can sign up for Vid. This is a free service from Logitech that lets you have video conversations with other people. You are invited to register. Just give your name and if you want, the setup software offers to take your picture. That part didn't work. But I could add a picture later using the simple Vid settings. While Vid is the new feature, I have to say that the other things this cam does blew me away. You can "zoom" (sort of digital zoom, but not quite). When you first use the cam, it is set to very wide angle. It made my nose enormous. Using the zoom slider (just click the gear picture on the control palette) I went to a medium range and my face looked normal. You can also let the camera find and follow your face. Just put the cam on the top of your monitor (it comes with a very convenient bracket that just adapts to the monitor) and the camera will follow you as you move around. Cool!Best of all, the quality is great. I expected the usual grainy, blurry web cam experience. Not with this baby. Its autofocus is spot on. The image is more than acceptable. Now for the extras: I couldn't make a Vid call since I don't know anyone with a cam on their system. But I did do the demo. I recorded 10 seconds of audio and video and then vid played it back as though I was talking to, well, myself. Did I mention the audio? This cam has a very high quality mic. that seamlessly integrated with my system. There are lots of extras. The included software automatically uploads a video to YouTube if you want. Another new (to me) feature is the RightLight setup. This is an adjustable automatic lighting adjustment that keeps you correctly lighted at all times. No more hot spots or muddy images. As for system compatibility.I am running Windows 7 Ultimate. There were no glitches whatsoever. This means you should have no trouble with Vista or other operating systems. Logitech is famous for thw quality of its drivers. The Webcam Pro 9000 is no exception. This is the best web cam I have ever used.

I call him, "little Rookie." He has all kinds of p
First let me start by saying I love what this camera is capable of doing and how it's allowed me to travel light when I want to enjoy our short family trips without feeling like I'm missing what's going on by being behind my full-frame. You'll love your images, as the sensor on this camera is on par (Video leaves a lot to be desired by comparison) with my 60D, but I will say I've noticed quite a bit more noise at higher ISO's than my 5D MkIII (which is to be expected), but I really only notice If I'm zooming into the image or going to blow an image up. For most of the online viewing of the images I've taken I'm amazed at how I have images in galleries from this little guy right next to the images of my 5D Mark III and you can't tell the difference. As for the focus, well; it's not as BAD as you've heard, yet at times it WILL drive you crazy. That is until you start to understand ways to deal with it; I.E. Manual focus. I shoot in manual for almost everything, so I'm used to not always needing autofocus, though the times I have, i've had awesome results where I don't understand the other reviews online, and then I've had worst results where I'm like, "What that What is wrong with you?" I purchased this camera over 6 months ago and really wanted to give it some time to real world use it before I reviewed it. If you own other cameras and want something small to keep with you (this is my car buddy), I'd recommend this. If you are able to be patient enough to learn how to deal with it's autofocus shortcomings, you'll grow to love this guy. I don't think it should be your ONLY camera if you depend on autofocusing, but for what I use this for and the images I've taken, he's a valuable asset to a professional shooter that needs to go light from time to time.Pros: Great Image Quality, small package but impressive build quality (feels really solid), Really good in low light.Cons: Autofocus, Video Quality (you'd expect more from this Canon Crop-sensor). Battery performance (make sure you purchase extras because with the LCD always on, they don't last long at all if you're continuously shooting. 1-1.25hrs)

Don't look any further for a baby monitor!
I usually don't write reviews but I know it was hard for me to figure out what baby stuff to buy especially a baby monitor. So I want to share my experience with you because I'm so happy I bought this. This is my second monitor I've purchased from ibaby, one for my son and now one for my daughter.I love this monitor because:- Easy set up!- You can access the monitor through your phone and you don't need a separate handheld device.- I was able to bring this on vacation to use and it was so easy!- You can give other people access to the camera as well with their own login and you can give whichever access you want them to have.- Picture quality is amazing.- It really saved us one night because I was sleeping and my mom called me because she happened to look at the camera and my daughter's swaddle came up and was covering her mouth and nose.- Great price! If you are hesitanting which monitor to buy, I can't recommend this one enough!

ECCELLENTE
