Images taken with this filter were extremely soft and blurry. The screen image was taken on a tripod with an appropriately high shutter (1/800) to eliminate movement and vibration. The lizard was handeld with a 1/400 shutter using a 5DM4 & Sigma 70-200 f2.8 sport lens with OS on. The image colors were ok. I assume I got a defective filter. I've had other K&F variable ND and ND1000 filters without the blue layer and they offered normal expected results.

Got this filter this morning and immediately was impressed with the build quality. I took it outside to try a few shots with strobes and it did fantastic! I am very happy with this purchase - and with quality ND filters running double, triple, or sometimes WAY more than this, for $39 it's a steal.I didn't notice any color casts or the dreaded X-pattern that I hear from some cheap filters, so that's wonderful!Well made, affordable, and quality photos - what more could anyone ask from a filter? Recommended for beginners or pros.TIP: Buy the size for the biggest sized lens you own, and buy a set of step-down rings so you can use it on ALL your other lenses, rather than needing to buy a different filter for each lens.

This is a great filter for the price, it can reduce 9 stops of light. Great for filmmakers and photographers. Build quality is solid, but the problem is that you get a x mark on your image. And you get a lot of color casting, it makes your image turn warmer. But there’s a solution you can easily fix it in post or change your white balance. Other than that great filter.
