I was thinking of getting a new phone because I was constantly having to delete apps or stop updates because of lack of storage. My phone only had a 8 GB SD card. I was able to transfer everything over quickly and easily. Only problem is now my wife wants me to download Pintrest app and save her pins...

As the headline states, works well with my wife's Moto G Play (4th generation) phone - that is, provided you use it as external storage.. you could take a gamble and use it as internal storage but as I found out the hard way this can not only trash your SD card but force you to factory reset your phone back to it's original settings which is a huge pain in the butt.Technically, according to the specs on the card and the manufacturer, the SD card is fast enough for internal storage - that is to be formatted by the phone in such a way that it "adds" to the phone's internal memory. In reality this can be very hit or miss. My son (has exact same model phone) had his SD card formatted as internal and was able to run low-demand applications (games that don't required high resolution graphics) off his SD card (also a Sandisk, but not quite as fast as this one in read/write speed) without any problems... I used the exact same card (sandisk brand model MB-MC32DA/AM ) and that's where my woes started... my Moto G Play phone apparently automatically runs apps off the SD card and after my wife used her phone to run a highly demanding program - Facebook messenger (video chat which will eat up your phone's resources compared to other aps) , phone froze up, refused to recognize the SD card even after a soft reboot (turn phone back on and off ) and even after a hard reboot (restore phone back to factory settings it was in when phone first purchased), even after the hard reboot the phone wouldn't recognize the card and attempts to format it by the phone proved useless.. even worse, once you format it as internal , the SD card is permanently "married' to the phone even if the phone no longer cooperates with it... I spent hours online trying to hack past the encryption on the now essentially ruined SD card without any luck despite all my google research and all the tips and tricks recommended there than I tried. My google research did turn up that this is a problem for the recent "marshmellow" update to Android which it's quite possible that your phone is running - many owners of various phones have the same bitter complaint once the SD card is formatted as internal. Now this card admittedly is faster than the one I ran into difficulties with ... but the card I had problems with was classified as a class 10 card which, according to Motorola (manufacturers of the Moto G Play), should have worked as internal storage without any problems in my phone. So basically if you want to use this as internal storage on your phone ... keep my tale of woe in mind.. maybe you'll get lucky.. maybe I just had a bad SD card... but I will never again format a SD card as internal on a phone (my online research indicates that the internal "native" storage to a phone is always better for apps and if you try to put the apps on an SD card, unless it's a low-demand app you can run into problems... if your phone doesn't give you a choice as to where the aps will be installed once you format as internal storage then you could get into trouble). As external storage this works great on our Moto G Play phone, very happy with it, my wife can play music off the SD card without any difficulties whatsoever.. I would recommend manually transferring music, videos and/or pictures over to the SD card once the phone's storage space starts filling up (go into the settings app on the phone and look for storage , there should be an option when you tap on the internal storage to transfer those 3 types of files to the SD card all at once) ...As a PS didn't bother to reach out to the manufacturer despite the 10 year warranty on the SD card model mentioned above (not this one the other model) since I was sure Sandisk would just blame it on the phone... and for all I know they could be right !
