This seemed like a bargain and led by many good reviews, I decided to take a chance on it. However, after a couple of years very intermittent use, the damped action occasionally fails and the head rotates with no friction at all. A bit disconcerting with an expensive camera attached! Also, one of the leg sections has become so stiff that it's difficult to collapse for packing. I guess this just goes to prove the od saying that you get what you pay for!

I bought this for my uncle who's really into photography and he loves it. This is perfect for shooting at different heights as it can be adjusted. It seems very durable and strong comparing to his other tripods. What he likes is the center ball can move to different angles so he can find a perfect shot. One other thing he absolutely love is the quick release so he can change to different cameras when needed without delaying. It also has a center bottom hook that can be used for low angle shot but he use that to hang his bag and surprising it can support the bag. It's small enough to bring it anywhere and the best part is it came with a carrying bag. He even said this is totally worth the price comparing to other brand names tripod which can cost an arm and a leg but not as good as this tripod. Coming from cheap amazon basic tripod I like the features it offers, the sturdiness, the size. But its a bit heavier than I expected.

The Design is good but I am not sure about the sturdiness advertised. It has thin columns although can reach a good number of angles.There are other tripods with the same design and feature at half the cost, I don't see why this tripod is for double the cost if its the same like them..

It is so nice it comes with a carry bag, and it is very light, pretty good for taking it around. Tripods gives stable support. The legs are easily to adjust and lock firmly. Ball head is smooth can lock up tight as well. The legs can be flipped all the way which make it easy to pack into the bag.

When I ordered this tripod a month ago, I had received a faulty one that I was not happy about. Someone reached out to me and sent me another one (free of cost) and it works just fine now. Rarely, do you find companies that initiate the move to reach out to customers and apologize let alone, make an exchange. Despite, my initial disparity upon purchase, I can say I am a happy customer in the end and all thanks to Hishop.

Great concept but the threading for the bolt holding the ball head mount is poor. Mine was only partially threaded and quickly became stripped so the tripod became unusable as the camera mount was unfastened from the tripod.
