After using heavier tripods all my life, I have finally given in to this portable tripod that is of high quality. Before this, my lightest tripod was still 4 pounds, you had all kinds of fancy features like mono pod legs and heavy duty ball head but all of that is really unnecessary one I want to walk into the nature with a small tripod. This tripod is under 2 pounds and that is the most important thing for me, because when carrying this, it almost feel like I'm not carrying it. It extends up very high, but I don't suggest going that high. Let's try by is designed to have a medium height while still being able to do everything a larger tripod is able to do. For something like 30 minute exposures, I will make sure to wave the tripod down with my camera bag otherwise there might still be shakes because this after all it is a lightweight tripod. When it comes to compatibility, the tripod uses Arca Swiss plate that's available everywhere. So popular, even camera cases house that built in, and in the longer feels proprietary and I don't feel like I am locked into a system like manfrotto or slik makes you feel.I made a video talking about this tripod that I have attached here. If you're looking for a lightweight tripod that does everything the bigger tripod does this is the one you should get.

The Camera Tripod, K and F Concept Aluminum Tripod was a gift. The recipient was really satisfied with the tripod and has already been using it.

Excellent tripod!Originally used the MeFoto tripod. Though slightly more compact, I found it a little heavier (the carbon fiber is more than twice as expensive than the K&F Concept) but what killed me was the legs on the MeFoto. On the Concept you have a secure lever snap release. Fast and easy, but mostly SECURE. The MeFoto uses the screw collar adjustment that if you do not tighten them properly - which at times I thought I had, but did not - the leg may collapse and your camera may lose balance and topple. Three times this happened to me and every time I was lucky to catch my Nikon D500 before it hit the floor. A friend had this one, so I borrowed it and enjoyed it so much more that I bought it.There are some weaknesses though. As mentioned before it is slightly longer - yet slightly lighter than the MeFoto. So that I will consider a wash. The materials used are not as solidly built as the MeFoto, the ball head especially was not as smooth either.Surprisingly, like the MeFoto, it has one leg with a sponge grip. But whereas with the MeFoto that denotes that leg as the one that can detach and become a monopod. Haven't been able to see from inspection or through the one page manual where that is even an option on the Concept. Which is odd, but not a deal breaker for me, but still odd. Why have just one leg with a sponge grip around it?But for the price it was still half what the MeFoto was. Unless you buy a better head, but still far cheaper overall.

I purchased this tripod for a friend and he is very happy with it. I have also had a couple chances to use it for self-portraits and long exposure shots.Pros:- Sturdy build- Easy to use- Light-Weight- Fairly pricedCons:- The spinny part near the top that is used to turn the camera often causes the head to come unscrewed and it gets a bit annoyingOverall I'd probably buy this product again.

some amazing parts and some more feeling like lower quality but exactly as described, feel like the head joint could be better but definetly best you will get deal wise on a sturdy magnesium alloy tripod

Received this tripod yesterday, The overall construction and materials are excellent, the only exception is the legs could be a bit more robust the flex a little with my metal bodied DSLR and 250 lens. The ball head is very well made for the price, sturdy, easy to adjust and head turns in a smooth controllable manner. I am very happy with this tripod.

This tripod is fantastic. The ball head allows for smooth panning when shooting video and gives the user the ability to shoot at angles a base model tripod would not allow. It has a good solid build that does not tip when bumped or when the wind picks up. The center of gravity is excellent and can be altered by locking angle of the legs in one of 3 positions. The angle locks on the legs are well constructed, they will not slip but are easily unhinged to change positions or fold the tripod. The extension locks on the legs are tight and the legs will not gradually slide up as will happen with a lesser tripod. Height can be adjusted either through the extension of the legs or by raising the head of the tripod, making it nice when you have the tripod leveled and want to adjust the height without the hassle of re-leveling. The quick connect function is a great feature, it works with a nut that must be turned to expand the plate instead of a lever which I have seen on other models, however this may be better than a plastic lever since it is metal and should not wear out so quickly. With the recessed area on the side of the ball head you can turn the camera to portrait mode and move with the dial base, which makes changing orientation painless. The tripod also comes with a high quality case. The case is cloth, but rigid with a heavy zipper, carrying handles, and a shoulder strap making this lightweight (~4lbs) tripod easy to carry to any location.Pros:LightweightBall head allows smooth panningQuick ConnectLeg angle locksSturdyMultiple height adjustment optionsQuality caseCons:Leg angle locks can be tricky to figure out the first timeFolds up (over the head) for storage with seems to confuse your non-photography friends when they try and pack up your gearQuick connect uses nut instead lever

Easy to set up, light weight, sturdy...used a 80-400 Tokina lens on my Nikon d7200...all went well...I would like the legs to be more robust...seems they could break easy, but so, all has gone beyond my expectations....HRK
