Don't know anything about tripods, but just need a relatively inexpensive tripod for a spotting scope and this worked great. Liked the light weight design, looks pretty nice too and liked that it could fold up compactly. Only change I would make is the leg extension; works good enough just would've like a different mechanism to extend and retract.

This item exceeded my expectations. It is very well constructed with quality materials. The unit is lightweight and folds to a very small profile. Once unfolded it easily holds my sky binoculars or camera. These are held securely by the tripod. I recommend this if you are looking for a solid quality tripod

Well done article. The person who sent the photo of the broken latch didn't know how to use it. The legs open backwards. Just be aware of this and DON'T FORCE them, otherwise you'll cause damage!

Excellent tripod, lightweight and easy to carry. The bubble level on top ensures it's perfectly level. The carbon fiber used is of good quality. The tripod comes with a handy little carrying bag and supports heavy cameras.
