Works as good as it looks, and it looks great!
My ego wants me to believe that I could not possibly get by without a carbon fiber, fluid head tripod that stood less than six feet tall. But the truth is, the 15.7- to 63-inch range of this travel tripod from K&F is plenty adequate for the type of shooting I’m doing these days. And if I ever find myself thinking I’m missing out on something, this tripod is loaded with features to remind me I’m not: It has a ball head for 360-degree panning and 90-degree vertical shooting atop a stout 3/8-inch threaded interface—a mount type whose convenience until a few years ago I totally discounted. The angle of the legs is controlled by a thumb release, and the five leg sections are controlled by flip locks. Both can be engaged with one hand, a real convenience while juggling photo gear with the other one. For attaching a microphone, photo light or other accessory, there are two 1/4-inch threaded connectors at the top of the base. Further up, there is a small bubble level on the side of the camera mount—it’s not something I often use, but when I need it nothing else will do. Most importantly, at least in terms of my pet peeves, the 1/4-inch, threaded connector on the quick release plate has a D-ring tightener, thank you!...no coins or screw drivers required. Included with the tripod are a drawstring carrying bag with a shoulder strap; warranty (one year) and product information; two L-shaped hex wrenches; a user manual; a smartphone mounting bracket with horizontal/vertical connectors and an overall, super-slick black finish with copper-toned detailing.
