how does bluetooth search work?

the app uses the bluetooth signal from the device and shows a proximity indicator. as you move around, a stronger signal usually means you are getting closer to the lost device.

does the app need gps or internet to find a nearby device?

why does the app show a paired device that is not connected?

your android phone remembers paired bluetooth devices. the app can show saved paired devices, but real-time search needs a current connection or another usable bluetooth signal.

One lost earbud

• what should i do if i lost one earbud? if you lost one of your earbuds, put the other earbud in the charging case and close the case before trying to connect. this helps the phone connect to the missing earbud if it is nearby and has battery.
• can the app play sound on a lost earbud? yes, when the missing earbud is connected. turn on the play sound on lost device switch and the app will play a loud sound at maximum volume, making the earbud easier to notice in quiet places.
• can the app find the charging case? by default, using bluetooth search, you can locate an earbud if it is outside its case. some manufacturers allow connection to the case when earbuds are inside. if you cannot connect to the case, it means the manufacturer does not support locating the case itself.

How to find lost devices with bluetooth radar

2. find and select your lost device on the list, then move around slowly and keep watching the signal strength, estimated distance, and hints on the screen.
3. when it reads "your device is here!", please look around.
4. you should find your device nearby.

• hi, i recently lost a pair of bluetooth earbuds and i've been trying to find a way to see when was the last time they connected to my phone, i've tried the downloading log data from the developer tools but since i wasnt able to enabled the log tracking till today there is no data to be downloaded.
• i have the devices bluetooth address, i don't know if there is a way i can find it with just the address.
• unfortunately, as far as i know, android doesn't store the last known location or connection time of bluetooth devices by default — unless you had specific tracking enabled beforehand, that data is likely not available retroactively.
• dumpsys command: if you're comfortable with using adb (android debug bridge), you can use the dumpsys command to get detailed information about your phone's bluetooth activity. connect your phone to a computer, enable usb debugging, and run the command adb shell dumpsys bluetooth_manager. this can provide information on when your bluetooth devices were last connected.
