Using Phone Mic While Earbuds Are Connected
- is there anyway that i can use my earphones but use my phone's mic as the mic when recording? like change the audio source, so instead of using my earphone's mic, i'm using the phone's mic.
- this (search for headphones splitter). connect your headphones to that cable and connect only the headphones part (usually green, sometimes black) of the cable to your phone, leave the mic part (red) dangling. you can't change the audio source but you can trick android into thinking you don't have an external mic.
- this doesn't work because when you have something like headphones plugged in that doesn't have a mic android just doesn't even have any audio input allowed at least with my moto that's how it happened a couple weeks ago i thought i was slick buying some non-microphone wired headphones i got home and i was like f***

Connected Headphones Device Type
- if you have headphones or bluetooth connected headphones connected to your phone and you want to use your phones microphone instead of the headphones microphone, go into your phones settings and find the settings for your connected headphones and there should be an option to "select device type".
- switch the type from "headphone" to "speaker".
- this causes the phone to only have the ability to send audio to the headphones.
- it disables the ability for the headphone mic to send any audio input.
- this causes bandlab to select the phone microphone for input since its now the only mic available.

Android Audio Switch App
- their a app on android that called lesser audio switches. whitch allowed you to force your phone to used the internal mic on your phone eveing when head phone whit a mic is plug in
- oh my god thank you so much!! i've never heard about it before but i tried it and it actually works and i am so happy right now! my earphones' mic was the worst thing ever and i'm so glad that i finally found a way to switch inputs, thank you ❤️❤️❤️
- your welcome it doesn't seem to work whit newer android version due
- be warned it doesn't work on newer android version. supposed android has the function built in but it doesn't. i unfortunately do not have a fix.

Pixel Recorder Input Source Workaround
- i found a really cheap workaround for this on the pixel.
- on the normal recorder app of the phone, there's the option to select the input source while recording.
- if i keep the recorder app recording in the background while i use bandlab, bandlab uses the same input source that's been set on the recorder.
- don't forget to delete the whole recording later to save space
