I use this V50X action camera for biking and it works great, never had a problem with it. its easy to operate most esp for old school people like me. I would recommend it and if i will buy an upgrade it will be this brand again...Pros: cheaper than branded action cam but gets the job done, good even for beginners or professionalsCons: i wish batteries could last a little longer, and some cheap accessories too

The v50 pro is really a nice action camera for a very good price. The only thing that is better about the GoPro is that it has a little better video stabilization, which only really matters if you are doing intense action footage. I would give the camera itself four stars, but once you factor in its low price it makes it a five. Also, some people have complained about the app for the Akaso, but I found it to be simple and easy to use. I think they must be having trouble connecting the camera to the app which is easy once you know how to do it but you might need to do a quick youtube search to figure it out.

Gopro Killer, greetings I purchased this camcorder going on five months now, after have owned a GoPro 6 for a little while. The Go Pro just was not meeting my needs. This Akaso V50 came with all the accessories I needed, very easy to mount. I use it primarily for my motorcycle adventure. I am not a motovlogger as recording audio, I do it manly for the video. The battery life is about average to most action cameras, I am impressed with the steady shot a the hyperlapse of the camera to speed up the video if I choose to do so. I can also do different shooting modes, I would not hesitate to buy it again it is a great value for what it gives you.

This action cam works flawlessly. I've had no issues with the cam and would purchase again. The image quality is pretty decent given the price.

I found this camera to be near identical to the Surfola SF530. It appears to be a Allwinner V316 based action camera with a 13MP image sensor likely a Sony sensor. This is a great combination for a budget action camera but does mean some of the higher parts of the given spec are fake. Anything images above 12MP will be interpolated and I don't believe this chipset can encode true 4k60 video. It's likely frame doubled.It's very hard to know the specification for sure as Exprotrek won't give it out but then that would make sense if they are trying to sell the camera on its 4k60 video and 20MP images. I'm more sure about the chipset than the sensor itself. So apologies if the sensor is actually 16MP. I really don't thinks its going to be anything more than that, the image quality looks the same to me at 12MP, 16MP and 20MP. The issue is a sensor that is just capable of 4k at 16:9 needs to be about 12 megapixels so when using EIS in 4K it has to downgrade the video quality because it needs a floating image to correct the judder in the image with the gyro data. So the 1080p 60fps and 2.7k video are better stabilised.Bare in mind many Chinese action cameras have 8MP sensors and do fake 4K upscaling 1080p30 to 4k30. This is a true 4K action camera but to get that true 4K you will need to turn off EIS. Also remember bitrate is also important a 1080p video with a high bitrate can look better than a 4K video with a much lower bitrate.So overall I'm happy with the action camera, it has some great features, a lot of accessories and is fit for purpose. Stabilisation I would give 3/5 its middle of the road which is expected for the Allwinner V316 chipset. Image quality is great up to 12MP. You may find 4k60 better than I do or maybe feel the images are better at 16MP and 20MP but if you don't no point using these higher modes, interpolating images to higher resolutions not only wastes battery capacity but fills up your storage sooner with no benefit. Same again with 4K60 you are just wasting battery life and storage again for no gain.Most of the action cameras that feature higher end components will feature them in the specification as a selling point. This is a middle performing action camera which I would say is about the same level as Gopro Hero 4 level. In some ways better and in some ways worse but that is where I would pitch it in performance terms.

This camera is good for taking video of you doing stunts and other crazy wacky things. It is not good for vlogging, talking, or anything that requires the use of sound. I am a vlogger and post almost daily to youtube. I will be using it for theme park rides, mostly at Disney. Its perfect for some B-Roll action but it is underwhelming for its audio quality. If you want a action camera that can handle audio then you will have to spend much more. But if you need something to do just some action videos like, skiing down a slope, or swimming in the ocean, then its great. I love it and I will continue to use it.

I recently gave this camera to my son for his 3rd birthday. He loves it and so do I! It's durable and fun to use. I highly reccomend and would buy again if needed.
