Great passive adapter!
A LOT better than I was expecting. High quality material and nice firm fit. There are a lot of caveats with an adapter like this:1. NO aperture control at all (lenses will be at the lowest f stop by default)2. The camera MUST be in creative manual mode or it will not take pictures3. You must manual focus, so any electronically driven focus will not work, unless the focus ring is physically coupled with the focus mechanism.4. You have to correct perspective distortion manually5. Metering is fine but you’re in full manual, so you must set exposure.

Noisy Auto Focus, but Pretty Good
The auto focus was pretty good however I am using my camera to create video content and as it adjusts it is rather loud and occasionally struggles. I set it to manual, focus on my ukulele upright in a chair then sit where my ukulele was to be in focus. It's nice and clear, sharp, can get really good focus. It is also not a wide lens so I'm getting creative with fitting into the frame in my small office.

Unreal
I've never been into photography.. I got this because I had some money to blow and wanted a nice camera. I used this with a 50mm lens I bought and am absolutely blown away with the way the camera is able to focus on exactly what I want it to. You can move the focus point easily to an off-center location and it will focus on it. It is very worth the bang for the buck if you can afford it.

Great value lens
Works exactly as described. Auto focus is fast and responsive to movement. Awesome portrait lens, super clear resolution.

Nice cheap lens
Image quality is nice and for the money there's not much bad that can be said about this lens. Only thing I don't like about it is the fact that it's a electronic focus only lens.

Canon 50mm[S]
For me, I treat this lens as how Apple treated the iPhone6s, "The only thing that's changed is everything." Amazingly faster focus, better bokeh and still portable and reliable. It does what it's supposed to do without the complexity of anything, and the price is even the same as the old nifty fifty. The only thing to not is that you can't focus if the camera is off.

You can't afford not to buy one
Prime lenses are nearly always better than their zoom counterparts at equivalent focal lengths.I previously owned the last generation of this lens, and found that I was using it more than my kit lens. It was sharper, faster, and gave me better results, and losing some focal range was an acceptable sacrifice. This new version is much easier to focus as they're moved the focus ring behind the front element. Unfortunately, the focus is motor driven and the camera must be on and engaged to focus the lens.My images have been sharp, with great contrast and good bokeh.I was considering the 50mm f/1.4, but all research I was able to find showed that there wasn't much advantage aside from the additional available light. Plus you could buy a few of these for the same cost...If you only have your kit lens, and you never shot with any old manual SLRs (where fast 50mm lenses were king), you owe it to yourself to pick one of these up. They're a lot of fun, and the image quality will shock you when you remind yourself you only spent $120 on the lens

Great camera for a "fixed setup" and "learning."
This camera is a nice middle ground between the webcam and the overkill of DLSR for video blogging. This camera will give you a remarkably clear and good image rivaling DLSRs (at moderate light levels.) There will be some "rounding" of the edges at the widest angle (see picture 3) with the 2.8-12mm lens but this won't be noticeable as much if you are in the center of the camera and/or are zoomed in.What this camera is great for:This camera will allow you to take extremely good close up shots (mere millimeters from the lens) and reasonably good shots from about 5-10' away but it really excels at shorter 2-3' distances that are common for blogging. If you only have experience with point and shoot or phone cameras.. Read this..This camera will be different from what you are used to because this does not have the electronics to adjust the light level , the focus and the zoom. That's not a bad thing because it lets you get exactly the type of shot you want, but it may take a little more work to set up the camera to get it.You can adjust the aperture independently of the other the zoom and focus. But you will need to adjust the focus after adjusting the zoom and vice versa. You will be able to pick at what distance you want to focus. You can make the background in focus and the foreground blurry or vice versa. For the most part if you have the camera set up to be in focus at about two feet back from you, you will pretty much stay in focus if you stay as long as you maintain a distance of 18" or so from the camera.Verdict: I strongly recommend this for video and pictures. It is a great camera and fun to play with.Comment: I did have a "30" written in wax on lens for some reason . I cleaned it off with a soft microfiber towel and alcohol (not paper towel). I don't know if the "30" is just on mine or if there is writing on all these cameras but you may want to check yours.

Focus and detail
I can get so much more detail, the macro lens really brings my pictures into focus.
