The magnification of the microscope is very clear
I like looking at nature with the children. I bought this digital microscope to bring you closer to the microcosm. It is a magnifying camera with a screen. I think it's good that you can save pictures of the recordings on a memory card, that's what I would have wished for in biology class back then. LEDs are installed at the bottom so that the camera can deliver better recordings. The magnification effect does not come close to the old-fashioned school microscopes from my childhood. This gadget is therefore more of a toy and not necessarily intended for research. In any case, we have a lot of fun with the part and therefore give it 5 stars. A real microscope also costs a multiple.

digital magnifying camera with screen
We were looking for a microscope for our son's science project that wasn't too expensive. Luckily we chose this one, because it's really great and absolutely worth the money! There are many different picture setting options (see pictures). You can also use a memory card. The microscope can also be connected to the laptop with the cable provided. I am sure that we will still have a lot of fun with it after the project is finished.

Good microscope for kids
We bought this digital microscope for our six year old son as a preschool gift. My goal was to show him that things can look very different in other dimensions and thus create a new perspective of looking at things. The delivery was very fast and the packaging quite professional. Installation and assembly takes less than 5 minutes and the microscope is ready to use. The material is mostly plastic, which I suspected at this price point, and the screen (about 4.3 inches) is non-touchscreen but sharp enough. According to the manufacturer you can zoom in up to 1000x (1080P 8 megapixels) - I have my doubts about that - but at least you can actually zoom things in with it and it's great for my kid and he's been very happy playing with it since buying it.Beyond that This digital microscope is equipped with an interface for a micro SD card, on which you can save and output the images or videos taken during use. However, the micro SD card is not included and the microscope can only support a maximum of 64G micro SD card. Conclusion: The microscope is good for children, but definitely not for professionals and adults who want to do serious research. on which you can save and output the pictures or videos taken during use. However, the micro SD card is not included and the microscope can only support a maximum of 64G micro SD card. I think the microscope is really great, the magnification is very clear, I can use this mikeoscope myself because I study geology, so I prefer it to a magnifying glass.

Very good value for money
The image quality on the display is quite good, the sensor of course not 8 megapixels but maybe 2 MP like all the others and a 1000x magnification is just an illusion. The magnification on the display itself can enlarge the image up to four times. I can't say what the optical magnification is, because I don't know how to calculate it.On the PC, the camera only shows 1.3MP and the image quality isn't that great.The worst thing about the microscope, however, is the stand itself, because the is more of a nodding dog. After plugging them into each other, you can keep moving them back and forth. The turning knob for focusing is the next disaster. This is very stiff and therefore almost unusable. But that could also be an error in my copy.
