5 Steps To Become A Better Photographer
After shooting for a while, your imagination and curiosity are gradually fading. You are losing the motivation and enthusiasm for photography. Maybe all you need is to change your perspective and solve the problem encountered. You may see a different world.
1: Find out the problem
We all may encounter various issues during the shooting: what camera and shooting skills to use? Where to shoot? How to compose?. Most problems can be only solved during practice. We are the only ones to find our problems. Do not just follow the solution that others give you.try to find the answer by yourself.Any problem has its meaning. The point is how to treat those problems.
Don’t afraid of it. Face it and solve it. You will get tremendous improvement in your photography.
2: Be an observer
The most efficient way to unlock your curiosity is to observe the world around you. There are always new things new faces new places in our daily life. We need to form a photographic eye to find the beauty around us and capture it. So be an observer: step back and observe the world around us with patience.3: Familiar with the rules and break the rules
There are lots of rules in photography. To get accurate exposure, we should familiarize ourselves with the exposure triangle. But those rules are existed for not making mistakes. If you just stick to the rules, you can only reach a normal level. Although it looks ok it is also boring and dull sometimes. Knowing the rules and breaking the rules will take your photo to the next level. To break the rules you have to familiarize them first. Knowing how to use those rules to break the rules. If you don’t even know the rules, there is no way to break the rules.
4: Practical practice
Even the greatest photographer is unable to take a nice photo when he uses a camera for the very first time. we may see one amazing photo, but we are unable to see thousands of failed pictures behind it. Plus in photography different setup may lead to different styles. Sometimes we don’t even know which style suits us best. So keep the curiosity and let the curiosity motivate us to try continuously. No matter it is a success or a failure, we can always learn something from it.5: Don't seek perfection
We always pursue perfection in the shooting.More likely, perfectionism can lead to paranoia. And sometimes it will affect our creation. When we are stuck in a problem, we tend to stop and delay our work unconsciously. We expect a sudden flash to strike us so we can think of a better way to solve this issue.
There is no absolute perfect; it is only getting better. There is no shortcut.
Photography is not a thing that you can master after reading a lot of theories and books. The only shortcut is to shoot more.
The more you shoot, the more terrible pictures you get, then the more you will learn.
