Canon RF70-200MM F2.8 L IS USM lens takes full advantage of the shorter Flange Focal Distance of EOS R system. The first thing to really talk about here is the size and the weight of this lens it is shorter and it is lighter than the EFO version. In fact it's about 27% shorter when is 70 mil and about 28% lighter as well. It is the lightest and shortest full frame lens in Canon 70-200 mm F2.8 series.
This lens uses 17 pieces of 13 sets of optical structure, with a glass mold casting aspherical Lens and an UD (ultra-low dispersion) aspherical Lens, achieved spherical aberration correction and Zoom Lens Miniaturization. Highly efficient arrangement of 3 UD Lenses and 1 Super Ud Lens greatly correct the chromatic aberration, reduce the image from the center to the edge of the halo and achieve high quality image. In addition, the Lens is coated with Canon SWC sub-wavelength structure.
