1:Use natural light

The flashlight can easily create red eyes and scare the pet away. Try to use natural light if possible. Choose bright natural light situations outdoor, or indoor near a window.

2: Make sure the eyes sharpness

Eyes are the window of the soul. We normally set the focus on the eyes in portrait photography. It is the same in pet photography. A shining eye will draw the viewer's attention. What's more, you can use the shallow depth of filed to hero your pet. If there is some reflective light in their eyes that will be better.
